a great drinks menu and luxurious guest bedrooms
the Walhampton Arms offers you the warmest of
welcomes from the heart of the New Forest.
Welcome to our beautiful pub, the Walhampton Arms
We believe that the simple things are often the best. That good times are spent with friends and family, sat around the table enjoying great food and drink. That everyone receives the warmest of welcomes and is made to feel special…..especially those visiting with their four-legged friends!
Set in the stunning New Forest, the Walhampton Arms is just a few minutes from the bustling Georgian market town of Lymington with views of the Isle of Wight across the Solent. It’s the perfect location to relax and explore.
The pub dates back to the 1800’s when it was a diary and part of the Walhampton Estate. That history and character remains, but inside, we’ve bought a rustic and contemporary feel to our dining and drinking spaces, that also provide a variety of options for events or parties.
Our menu’s try to capture the essence of what a pub should be about. Dishes to share and graze from, plus ‘specials’ with that little twist from our chef.
Of course, good food isn’t complete without a glass of ale or wine from our carefully chosen list.
On behalf of the team, we look forward to welcoming you soon!
Dining & Drinking
Our menu combines traditional pub classics with modern, more contemporary dishes offering something for everyone.
Whatever you choose you can expect fresh, lovingly prepared home-cooked food.
Whether it’s a light bite, something to share with friends over a couple of drinks or you’re planning a celebration for someone special then the Walhampton Arms is the place to visit.
With food served each day, we also have a range of vegetarian, vegan and of course dishes to keep children happy.

“Great place to stay. My partner and I booked a last minute night away here last week and didn't expect too much, just wanted a room to stay. We were pleasantly surprised however and the room istelf was lovely, very clean and modern. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub and the food was really lovely, service was great and very welcoming. We honestly had no complaints and would 100% recommend!”
“Sunday Lunch - Booked during the week, thanks to a friends recommendation and was not disappointed, the carvery was amazing, the best we have seen around the area, vegetables green instead of wilting away - crispy potatoes and pink beef (yum). The chef on the carvery even convinced my daughter to have some carrots - normally she won't touch any veg - we were impressed. The team were great, could see they were struggling but clearly had a sign upon entry stating understaffed due to illness. We will definitely be returning - thanks walhampton team”
“Such a good experience - Went for a carvery with some friends this Sunday, 27th of February. The service was quick and efficient and all done will a smile.
