The Walhampton Arms is located in the historic New Forest National park and just a couple of minute’s drive, or a short cycle into the historic Georgian market town of Lymington, making it a great destination for locals or tourists alike.
Set in over 219 sq. miles of woodland and heathland, the New Forest dates back to 1079 when the then King of England, William the Conqueror, designated the area as his personal hunting grounds. Today, it’s one of the most beautiful places to escape to for a few days.
With its numerous attractions such as Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and the forest’s seemingly endless miles of tracks and nature trails are inhabited by an array of wildlife……perfect for cyclists or ramblers alike.
Of course, the Forest is famous for it’s wild, roaming ponies and picture postcard villages too. We’re also blessed with over 40 miles of coastline and the Isle of Wight ferry is on our doorstep, handy if you’re taking a trip across to the ‘island’ and in need for refreshment!
